Parents and children from
Nursery had a great time with Sue from the Library Serve and Book Start Bear.
We had a free Rhyme Time session in school which we sang songs, learned about
the great free things to do at the Library this Summer and had lots of run. The
children each got a free book!
We are running another
free Rhyme Time session on Tuesday the 8th11.45am – 12.15pm, there will be lots
of fun and singing. You can also bring younger children as this session is
suitable for children 0-5. Come to the reception and we will be happy to see
you there!
Each week a Riverside pupil receives a Speech and Language Star of the week Award! On week commencing 24.03.14, Ellie-Mai received speech and language star of the week for making such good progress with her speech sounds. Well done for all your hard work Ellie-Mai!
Week commencing 10-03-14 Connor received Speech and Language Star
of the Week for working really hard on his speech sounds, and improving. Well

the Week! He has been practicing his speech sounds and working very hard. Well

Week commencing 16-12-13 Finley received the Speech and
Language Star of the Week as he focused, and improved, his speech sounds this
week. Well done, Finley!
Week commencing 09-12-13 Kain received the Speech and
Language Star of the Week due to significantly improving on his sounds and
language use. Great work, Kain!
Week commencing 02-12-13 Alysha has received the Speech
and Language Star of the Week for fantastic work on her speech sounds. Well
done, Alysha, keep up the hard work!
Week commencing 28-10-13 This week’s Speech and Language
star is Ava. Ava has been working on her speech sounds and she was so excited to
receive her Star of the Week. She earned it! Well done, Ava!
Week commencing 21-10-13 Mitchell is this week’s Speech
and Language Star of the Week. He has worked on his language and his attention
and listening skills have improved a lot. Well done, Mitchell!
Week commencing 14-10-13 Bobby received this week’s
Speech and Language Star of the Week. He has worked so hard and his language
has greatly improved. Mr. Jones gave him a special Head Teacher’s pencil too!

Week commencing 07-10-13 Chloe won Speech and Language
Star of the Week as she has worked very hard on her language skills. Well done,

Week commencing 30-09-13 Emily is the Speech and Language
Star of the Week. Mrs Meek came and presented her with her star and special
sticker. Well done Emily for all of your hard work!
